This collection was developed in 2016 by Miguel Vieira Baptista, to integrate his interior design of the cafeteria at EDP's headquarters in Lisbon.
The objects were designed from an industrial imagination, adding standard profiles to surfaces of a domestic character. This contrast results in a set of seven pieces for use in both public and domestic spaces.
Miguel Vieira Baptista (1968) studied design at IADE, in Lisbon, and graduated in product design at Glasgow School of Art. Since then, he has been developing projects for several companies in the areas of product design, exhibition and interiors. His work has been presented in several national and international exhibitions and some of these are part of the permanent collection of MUDE – Museum of Design and Fashion, Francisco Capelo Collection, in Lisbon.
In addition to these activities, he teaches at ESAD-CR in Caldas da Rainha. In 2013 he was chosen by designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec to receive the Audi Mentor Prize by A&W in Cologne.
